Buying prescription glasses in Nepal used to mean a limited frame wall and a wait of a week or two. Here you choose the frame first, then decide what goes in it. Lens options run from standard single vision at NPR 750 through multi coated at NPR 1,800 and the fully digital blue filter at NPR 2,990. Progressives, which handle distance and reading in one lens, are NPR 1,900 for the small corridor, NPR 3,400 for the wide version and NPR 5,500 for the large. The wider the clear corridor, the more precise the grinding, which is what you are paying for.
One thing worth knowing before you order: a complete prescription needs SPH, CYL, AXIS and your PD. Many hospital and eye camp slips leave the PD out, and some leave out the AXIS when there is a CYL, which has to go back for correction. We measure PD free in about a minute.
"Power chasma banauna kati din lagchha?" One to three working days for most powers. We will tell you at the counter if yours needs a thinner lens that takes longer. Frames can be exchanged right up until the lenses are cut.

Standard single-vision lenses are usually ready within 24–48 hours of receiving your prescription. Progressive and high-index lenses can take 3–5 days. Once ready, delivery reaches Kathmandu Valley within the same day or next day.
