Buying branded eyewear in Nepal: what to check
Branded eyewear in Nepal comes through a lot of different routes, and the price is usually the tell. Before you pay, at any shop, ask to see the case and the paperwork that came with the frame, and look for the engraving on the lens or the inside of the temple arm. A seller who cannot show you that is asking you to take their word for it.
Most of what we sell is our own BLUR label, designed for us and priced accordingly, alongside contact lenses from Bausch & Lomb, SEED and Johnson & Johnson. Whatever you buy here, we show you what came in the box at the counter, and our opticians fit and adjust it before it leaves the shop. Adjustments stay free afterwards, including on frames bought somewhere else.

How do I tell whether branded sunglasses in Nepal are genuine?

How much do sunglasses cost at Blurkart?
Sunglasses run from NPR 999 to about NPR 7,200. Every pair has a UV400 lens, which is the part that protects your eyes, and UV protection does not get better above a certain price. Past roughly NPR 5,000 you are paying for the frame and the finish.
Do you offer branded frames for prescription lenses?
Yes. Most optical frames here accept prescription lenses. Bring your frame to either showroom, Pulchowk in Lalitpur or Boudha in Kathmandu, and we fit single vision, bifocal or progressive lenses. Lenses start at NPR 750.
Can I return branded eyewear if it doesn't fit?
Yes. Unworn frames in their original packaging can be returned within 7 days of delivery. Message us on WhatsApp and we will arrange pickup or drop-off. Frames can also be exchanged any time before the lenses are cut.
