This Privacy Policy explains how Blurkart collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you shop with us or visit blurkart.com. We take privacy seriously and never sell your information.

Information we collect

• Account & order details: name, phone number, email, delivery address.
• Prescription data: provided voluntarily at checkout or during an in-store eye test. Stored securely and used only to fit your lenses.
• Payment information: processed by our payment partners (Khalti, eSewa, Fonepay). We never store full card numbers or wallet credentials on our servers.
• Usage data: pages viewed, device type, referrer - collected via cookies and analytics for performance monitoring.

How we use it

• Fulfil and deliver your orders.
• Provide customer service and warranty support.
• Send order updates and (with consent) promotional messages.
• Improve the site based on aggregated analytics.

Third parties

We share the minimum necessary data with delivery partners, payment processors (Khalti/eSewa/Fonepay), and analytics providers (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel). We do not sell your data.

Cookies

We use cookies for cart persistence, login sessions, and anonymised analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser, though parts of the site may not function correctly.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. We'll respond within 14 days.

Blurkart mobile app

Last updated: 29 October 2026. This section covers the Blurkart Android and iPhone app.

What the app sends

When you sign in, we use your phone number and an account ID to manage your account. SMS sign-in codes are delivered by Sparrow SMS. Orders and eye-test bookings include your name and phone number; delivery orders also include your address. Email is optional. We keep purchase records to fulfil orders and manage your account.

You can provide eyeglass or contact-lens prescriptions, including a photo. We use these health details to prepare your lenses. They are optional when browsing the app. Reviews submitted to Blurkart contain the name and text you provide.

Camera, photos and app lock

Virtual try-on camera images stay on your phone. Saving a try-on photo writes it to your gallery; the app does not upload it. A prescription photo you choose to upload is sent to our server. The optional biometric app lock runs through your phone's operating system; Blurkart does not receive your fingerprint or face data.

Notifications

In app versions with push notifications enabled, allowing notifications lets us collect a push token and a random app-install ID. Expo and the platform delivery providers (Firebase on Android and Apple on iPhone) use these to deliver order updates and occasional offers. The token and install ID can be linked to your account when you sign in. You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings. Versions with push disabled do not register these identifiers.

Analytics and service providers

The app has no advertising or analytics SDK. Its information pages display text without running the website's tracking scripts. Website pages you choose to open in your browser follow the website disclosures above. We use hosting, SMS, push and delivery service providers to operate the store. App requests use HTTPS. The app accepts cash on delivery and does not collect card or bank details.

Delete your account

In the app, open Profile > Profile & Account > Delete my account. You can also visit blurkart.com/delete-account. Cancel or complete any order in progress first. Deletion removes your profile, saved addresses, wishlist, notifications, push registration and prescriptions associated with your account or its orders, including their uploaded files when no other order still uses them. Past financial records remain with customer contact details removed. Published review text stays with an anonymous name.
